The Fine Print

We’re a co-op, which means this is your store too. Here’s what you need to know, in plain language, with no surprises. We appreciate you taking the time to read this. See you in the aisles! 

Service Animals 

Service animals are always welcome anywhere our shoppers can go. Per the ADA and California’s Retail Food Code, only trained service dogs are allowed inside. Emotional support animals and pets are not considered service animals and are not allowed inside the store. Service animals need to stay leashed or under control and can’t ride in carts. We’ll never ask about your disability or for documentation. 

Returns 

Your satisfaction is our priority. Bring most items back within 30 days, in their original packaging and with your receipt, for a full refund to your original payment method or as store credit. No receipt? Approved returns are issued as store credit at the item’s lowest price from the past 30 days. Gift card purchases are refunded as store credit. We can’t accept returns on special orders, red-tagged items, or alcohol, and we reserve the right to limit or refuse any return. 

Busking & Musicians 

Live music is part of the co-op community, and we love having you on our Grass Valley patio. To keep things pleasant for everyone: one act at a time, set up clear of the entry/exit path and keep your “tip hat” out of customer traffic. Please play in 15-minute stretches, no more than 2 hours a day, and please skip amplified, percussive, or droning music. Tables and chairs are reserved for folks who are eating. No smoking, vaping, incense/sage, soliciting, or selling merchandise on property, and any dogs with you must be leashed and well behaved. Be kind to customers, staff, and fellow musicians — if we get complaints, we’ll have to ask you to wrap up. Thanks for sharing your talent! 

Community Billboard 

Our bulletin boards are open to the public for local happenings. Flyers must be 8”x10″, tasteful, and promote a local event in Nevada or Placer County. Please write the date on the back, leave it at the Customer Service Desk and we’ll post it for you. New flyers go up Mondays and Thursdays and come down after 10 days.
